We wish to welcome you to Nordiskt Forum Malmö 2014 – New Action on Women’s Rights,12-15 June.
Nordiskt Forum Malmö 2014 is a milestone for women’s rights and gender equal societies. It is an initiative from the Nordic women’s movement and a promise to ourselves to strengthen strategies and articulate action to promote change as stated in the convention on women’s rights, CEDAW, in Beijing Platform for Action, in national policies and numerous other documents. We are calling on activists, politicians, researchers, companies, municipalities, authors, experts, political parties, unions, networks, students, artists, young and old, to put forward their demands, ideas, knowledge and proposals for universal changes. We expect 15 000 participants.
We invite you to participate in a way you find appropriate. We will create spaces for art, concerts and speakers in the Arena. We will be able to build your personal program according to your preferences. Your voice is important, it is needed.
Politics of women’s lives need to meet feminist artists. How can women’s lives be understood in a historic and contemporary context? We hope you will participate in Nordiskt Forum Malmö 2014 and help us achieve equality between women and men.
